Assalamu alikum

By now most of us must have heard of the news of the results of Turkish elections. The center-right (religious-leaning) AKP has won the elections in a row, Alhamdulillah.

Most of us look at Turkey and rue the decline of Islam and Islamic values in that country. For instance, hadd punishments have been outlawed, hijab is discriminated against, vulgarity and secularism are praised and are looked at as a sign of progress. Also, Kamal Ataturk, may Allah give him what he deserves, realized how to fundamentally change the Turkish society, and one of the best ways was to move the Turkish language as far away as possible from Arabic language, the language of the Quran and of Islam. Hence, he introduced new letters for Turkish language and changed it from Arabic script to Roman script.

Despite of all this and many other rules against Islamic laws and signs, we see that the AKP has won twice in a row now. And, it reminds us of what Allah says in Surah al-Anfaal:
وَيَمْكُرُونَ ويَمْكُرُاللهُ واللهُ خَيْرُالمَكِرِين
They plot and plan, and Allah too plans; but the best of planners is Allah.

The government today is not ideal by any means, but nevertheless it is better than earlier governments. We pray to Allah subhan wa taa'la to strengthen the leaders' hands, give them tawfeeq to act according to Islam and restore the glory of Islam in that country.

May Allah SWT bring that which is best for the Muslims of Turkey, and all other Muslim countries.

Just like all Muslims nations, most Turkish people want Islam at heart, Inshallah.

May Allah SWT make this new era a good one for Islam in Turkey.

I was listening to the radio yesterday, and some analysts did not overrule the possibility of a military coup by the end of the summer. May Allah SWT protect Islam and Muslims.

Is it true that politics can be discussed in the English multaqa but not the Arabic one?
