Salamu 'Alaikum,

I appreciate the brothers trying to start the English version of Ahl ul-Hadeeth forum, but as all readers are aware of, we are all human beings, and thus fallible.

What I am going to say is just a piece of advise from your brother. Take it if you feel it's in place or leave it if you think it's worthless.

Granted, certain things done by some sufis are problematic. Many of the things they do can be critizised, but everything has to be judged in perspective. At the present time, we have an onslaught of missionaries on Islam, Prophet Muhammad, and the Quran. We have Qadianis openly challenging the finality of prophethood. Secular thought is widespread. Rejection of hadith is common. Should not our focus be on some of those matters as well?

Lastly, we should be fair and balanced in our criticisms. That's Allah's command to us.

And Allah knows best.

Wa Alykum Assalam brother Abu Asiya.

May Allah SWT reward you for your advice. Your advice will always be acceptable Inshallah.

The purpose of this forum is to do exactly what you said … put things into perspective and not to be excessive.

Please remember that many deviant sects have caused more harm to true Islam than some non-Muslims.

Many Muslims are clear on Qadianys but might not realize that there are extremist Sufis who have beliefs that are just as Shirki as Qadianys.

So please rest assured that the objective of this forum is not to bash anyone just for the fun of it, but rather to expose the enemies of true Islam.

Wallahu A'lam.

I believe it was ibn Qayyim who said "These deviant sects are more dangerous to islam than kufar. The kuffar fight from outside the fort and these people fight the Muslims from inside the fortress (of Islaam)". Some scholars considered fighting with proofs the deviant sects a greater jihaad than fighting the Kuffaar themselves.
