Is there anyone in the Virgina area who can assist me in acquiring some books from the IIASA (Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America)? They publish a series called "Portraits: From the Lives of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa salam)" and I'd like a copy of each but they do not mail copies - one must physically go into their Institute and they will provide you with free copies of the three part (I believe) series. I am no where near Virgina but would very much like to get the books insha'Allah. I have contacted them but they are unable to mail the books to me. Is there anyone who can assist me with this insha'Allah?

They're address is:
8500 Hilltop Road
Fairfax, Virgina 22031 USA

jazakum Allahu khairan

Inshaallaah laa takhaaf! Actually I used to attend that school (which is where I learnt the lughaa and much of the deen) and I know the exact books you are referring to as I gave away some copies before (there is even a 3 vol. series on the tabi'een which is also very good). But all what you saw is from the pervasive repercussions of the policies of this mushrik president whereby he and his administration basically paralyzed this noble institution that so many shabaab in the past have benefited from. Ala kuli haal, inshaallaah this should give me a reason to go and spend time in their library as truly missed doing. But are you sure they still have these books?

jazakum Allahu khairan! This is such good news! Allahu Akbar! Yes, they do still have the books alhamdulillah. I have contacted them several times and they said I just need to physicall go get the books insha'Allah. If you would not mind to get the books on the sahaba as well as the books of the tabi'een I would greatly appreciate it insha'Allah!
