ok i am sorry, i keep on posting tons of questions, but its for a good purpose, this is from a young muslim:

"
Okay so in my school. I got written up for not standing up for the pledge of allegiance.
Well does it not say in Islam to not pledge allegiance to anyone but God? And well my teacher said I did not have to say it but i had to stand. To me standing is the same thing. Because you stand supporting it, which is the same as saying. Is this just me?"

i would appreciate your help and cooperation brothers and sisters.

Question: why dont muslims stand for the flag salute?

Answer: Praise be to Allah.

Veneration is something that is due only to the Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, and the created being should not humble himself before anyone except the Creator, may He be glorified and exalted. And Allaah knows best.

I say (Haitham): If this issue is going to cause him harm, then he needs to call a scholar and ask his opinion on standing up without the intention of praising the flag, and without saying anything.

May Allah reward this young Muslim, and strengthen his Imaan.

What Flag...

Why you need to stand for a flag.

Here in the UK their is no such thing, as far as I know.

The only time they may get the flag out is during the World Cup.
